What a beautiful E9. Perhaps the most popular BMW E9 - 3.0 CSI, Fjord Blue over Tan Leather. This car was built at BMW in Bavaria on the 13th of June 1972 and delivered on the 19th of June 1972 to BMW the Netherlands Alimp NV in The Hague. 
It was delivered new in this color - 037 Fjord Blue and first registered on the 9th of October '72 on numberplate 45-38-VH. A 1988 Inspection rapport shows the car was in the Limburg area and owned mr a certain Mr. Crombag who owned the car for 19 years - between 1988 and 2008. In 2009 the car was exported to Belgium. In my opinion one of the most beautiful colors for the E9. Very classy and chique - all the chrome and green tinted windows really stand out. Combined with a beautiful tan leather interior, slightly lowered suspension and sitting on 16 wheels - the perfect E9.  Over the last two years the car was extensively restored. A nice and solid, straight body with very nice shutlines was given a beautiful repaint. One quality paintjob in it's factory shade of Fjord Blue. A deep shine on a straight body with the fold/knick correctly in the sides. The engine-bay is solid and correct. On and around the body it shows nice chrome accents. The chrome-trim around the car presents nice as well as the trim around the windows. Nice and clear headlights in deep-black grilles, new emblems, new mirrors, countless new seals, very good quality chrome bumpers with as new rubber strips. The chrome grilles on the bonnet and fenders are brand new and really stand out on the new paint. 
The engine-bay of the CSi looks very fresh and correct. It houses the matching numbers 3.0L inline Six that was rebuilt in the past. The engine runs beautiful and thanks to D-Jetronic injection it's turn-key and makes 200 horsepowers. The engine received a major-service from us, it starts up nice and makes great power. Both the injection and the ignition system have been rebuilt. The power is sent to the rear wheels through the 4-speed manual transmission. The car is a joy to drive thanks slightly lowered suspension and Bilstein shocks. The wheels are brand new 16 inch Alpina-style with new Hankook tyres. Very easy to drive, both around town as well as at speed.
The interior was restored very thoroughly and beautifully. The seats and rear seat have been reupholstered beautifully in Tan leather. The front and rear doorpanels we're reupholstered as well. It received a new set of carpets in Tan, the correct loop-style material with a nice grain. The headliner is the original from 1972 and presents beautifully - still clean, crisp and white. A brand new Nardi steering wheel has been installed as well as a new set of 3-point automatic seatbelts. The doorbrakes were replaced and the period correct Blaupunkt FM radio plays nicely. The antenna pops up automatically when the radio is turned on.
The trunk of the Coupe was nicely restored. New wooden panels we're made and upholstered in the correct grey vinyl. In the trunk as well as on the inside of the trunklid as well as the panel covering the taillights is new. The trunk boot floor is solid and original. Fresh spare wheel, tool and jack are present.
