This is a 1963 split window model which is one of the most legendary models of the sports brand of General Motors. The 1963 vintage of the Corvette sees the birth of the Sting Ray. Futuristic, the design of the newborn, due to Bill Mitchell, has a head start. The car has the effect of a bomb: its shape inspired by sharks and the large flat areas of its hoods, favored at the front by retractable headlights. The year 1963 also marks the launch of the first Corvette coupe. Unfortunately, this superb style trait will disappear the following year in favor of a panoramic bezel.
History:
This Corvette comes from the United States, where it spent most of its life until 2021, then integrated into a large collection of a vintage car enthusiast, it is currently visible in our showroom in France. The car has been fully restored in the USA, with a complete photo file of all stages of its restoration. A complete file with all the invoices and various period technical sheets are provided with the vehicle.
State of the mechanics:
The vehicle runs and drives perfectly. Regarding the mechanical condition, nothing to report, some maintenance invoices from the time are present in the file. It is equipped with an aluminum radiator which allows better cooling. A technical control of less than 6 months as well as a revision will be made before the sale.
Interior condition:
The leather interior is in good condition, and has taken on a very nice patina over time. All the aluminum parts that dress the cabin are also in good condition. Exterior condition: The bodywork is in good general condition, no signs of shock or snagging, apart from a slight crack in the paint on the front left wing due to time. Rims and redwall tires are in very good condition.
