The Mercedes 280 SL is the successor to the Mercedes 250 SL that was built until 1967, the year in which the 280 SL first came onto the market. The timeless, clean design that started with the Mercedes 300 SE saloon in 1961 was continued in the 230/ 250/ 280 SL series, according to many, still the most beautiful classic Mercedes since the sixties.
