Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V 1998

This is the fifth generation of the iconic Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution! Launched in January 1998, the EVO V is a true hero for a generation of car enthusiasts thanks mainly to the Playstation game Gran Turismo 2 and its dominance in the World Rally Championship! The Evo V received several aerodynamic improvements compared to previous models, notably wider fenders to meet WRC requirements. The interior remained simple, with eye-catching Recaro bucket seats and Momo steering wheel breaking up the monotony of a driving-focused cabin. Under the hood is the legendary 4G63T engine, a 2.0 turbo that produced (supposedly) 280 horsepower. It is known today that this number was quite conservative and only served to appease the Japanese authorities. The all-wheel drive system, combined with the AYC (Active Yaw Control) system, provides exceptional traction and ‘ridiculous’ cornering speeds! This February 1998 EVO V GSR, configured in Satellite Silver Metallic, is one of 7,500 examples built. It was imported from Japan in 2017 with 12,000 km and registered in Spain, where it was professionally converted to left-hand drive, with an Evolution-specific steering rack. It is in strictly good condition, without any alterations or accidents. It also comes with a folder with user manual and maintenance history. With less than 28 thousand km driven, this Mitsubishi is a true collector's piece.
