NICOLIS MUSEUM, VERONA

Born in 2000 on the initiative of the collector and entrepreneur Luciano Nicolis, the Nicolis Museum collects around 200 rare and highly valuable vintage cars, 120 bicycles and 105 motorbikes (but also 500 cameras, 120 musical instruments, 100 typewriters, small aircraft, a rare collection of around 100 Formula steering wheels), with attention to Italian production (but not only). Among the most important pieces are the Isotta Fraschini protagonist of the film Sunset Boulevard, the 1937 Lancia Astura Spider Mille Miglia built specifically for Gigi Villoresi and a 1931 Bugatti Tipo 49 roadster. The #Exibition Vespa is scheduled from 6 July to 30 September , a temporary exhibition which celebrates its 70th birthday through 70 of the most significant examples of the famous scooter.
