Volkswagen Maggiolino 1300 1966

The 'People's Car' had many variants from 1938 until the end of production in 2003 and, although the sedan version was the most practical and popular, the success of the Volkswagen boosted the creation of a cabriolet version.
The production of the cabriolet was carried out by Karmann, a coachworks company founded in the 19th century, which in 1949 began building the first cabriolet Beetles.
This 1300 was sold new in January 1966 in Chicago, USA. It maintains all its original features and is 'full matching numbers', that is, it has the same 1285 cc 50 HP engine with which it left the factory in 1965.
It is painted in Yukon Yellow, with a black hood and upholstery, and wears the cool whitewall tires – just like the original 1966 option! Comes with the original sales receipt and certificate of historical interest from the Clube Português de Automóveis Antigos.
