Volkswagen Maggiolone 1303 S 1973

Beautiful 1303 S with sunroof. Equipped with the original booklets with warranty card and a thick folder full of invoices and MOT forms. Delivered new in Sweden and that history is also largely present. Brought to the Netherlands in 2002 and since then from one owner who has taken excellent care of it.
The 1303 was then repainted in the Netherlands in the original colour Biskaya and the quality of the paintwork is of a high level. A part of boot was also replaced then. In 2015, the mudguards and running boards were renewed so those are also still in clean condition. Also cool are the Volkswagen sports rims, undamaged and fitted with excellent wide tyres. The paint looks clean and the car has just been professionally polished.
The interior is completely original and strikingly beautiful. A real time capsule. The seats have the original light upholstery and everything is in one piece. The dashboard is scratch-free and all gauges work as they should. The steering wheel, sky and sunroof are also undamaged and that after 51 years. The rubber floor covering is clean and there are rubber mats over it. Only at the rear near the window does the upholstery have drought cracks and there is a small damage on the rear seat. The floor is bone dry and rock hard, including under the rear seat.
The world-famous 1600cc boxer engine starts immediately both cold and hot and runs nicely. The S has more torque than the smaller engines, which makes for more driving fun. You can also keep up with today's traffic without a problem. Accompanied by the sympathetic boxer sound, this is enjoyable every mile, especially with the sunroof open.
The Volkswagen has been well cared for and maintained all these years, there are invoices with the car worth almost € 4, 000. In addition, things were replaced for which there are no invoices and you can see from everything that this 1303 has been pampered. And you can feel that while driving. The mileage has been read off.
The Superbeetle is the best handling Beetle, comfortable and tight steering. Partly thanks to the Mc Pherson struts at the front, a 1303 has better roadholding and a smaller turning circle compared to other beetles. Straight-line stability in particular is many times better than with the standard Beetle. And the boot is much larger. The 1303 was the last and best Beetle and as a sedan only built for 3 years, so within the Beetle family it is a rare car.
