Description:
According to Chevrolet, the name Camaro is derived from the French word camarade, which can be translated as comrade or friend. The world-famous sporty car was created in the mid-1960s as a competitor to the successful Ford Mustang. The racing version (Z/28) was produced for the American Trans-Am competition. In 1968, Roger Penske's team won the SCCA title with Mark Donahue.
In addition to the racing cars for the SSCA/Trans-Am series, only two cars with FIA specifications were produced, which were converted by Traco Engineering. In accordance with these specifications, the Camaro offered here was completely rebuilt around 12 years ago with maximum effort - especially for use in historic motorsport and sporting rallies, in particular the Panamericana Rallye. The vehicle has a German road licence.
Engine:
327er Chevrolet V8 performance upgrade, ca. 400 hp, 5,7 ltr.
