The Jaguar E-Type is an iconic sports car that was introduced by the British car manufacturer Jaguar in 1961. With its sleek, aerodynamic design and powerful performance, the E-Type is often regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Its long hood, round headlights, and low profile give the E-Type a timeless appearance, while innovative technologies such as independent suspension and disc brakes all around were far ahead of their time. The car was offered with both a 3.8-liter and a 4.2-liter inline-six engine, delivering impressive speed and acceleration. The Jaguar E-Type is a symbol of the 1960s and a classic that continues to be admired to this day.
The E-Type we offer is a 1970 Series 2 Roadster. Although the car has only covered 43,900 miles from new, it has recently undergone a complete restoration. During this process, the entire drivetrain, including the engine, gearbox, and suspension, was overhauled. A 3.31 limited-slip differential was also installed. The body was stripped back to bare metal and repainted in the stunning color Sherwood Green. In addition, a matching hardtop was painted in the same color, and the car was fitted with competition wire wheels and an upgraded cooling system. Notably, the seats are still upholstered in the original leather from 1970, which remains in excellent condition. Since the restoration, the E-Type has only covered 2000 kilometers. It is extremely rare to find a Series 2 E-Type in this condition, this car is truly among the finest on the market.
