In 1939 Bentley wanted to introduce the MK V, a modern car, to the market. The war prevented series production, only 15 chassis were built, 11 still received a body. So Bentley could start very early with the MK VI in 1946. The first examples were delivered in 1946/47. For the first time a body was available ex works, the so-called “Standard Steel”. Bentley had prepared well for this novelty and therefore this body was very popular. However the considerably lower price compared to the custom bodies also played a role. So the custom bodies became rare with 832 units. Our four-door Bentley MK VI saloon with an aluminium body by Mulliner was delivered to Mr. Thomas Bull in Manchester in July 1947. Since 2008, this rare classic car has been with its 4th owner in Germany. It is fully operational and very handy due to the light bodywork. There is an extensive collection of documents from purchase to the present day. Original condition, documentation and great driving pleasure characterise this classic.
