Ford Mustang 289 1965

Ford Mustang MK1 notchback race car. Fully race prepped, but also in possession of a Belgian historic registration. It was originally imported from Texas, USA, so this means the car is in rust-free condition. Fully built and prepared for action here in Belgium. The engine is a 4.7-liter, low-compression engine, developing 336 HP at the rear wheels. It has been recently rebuilt and has only run for 16 hours since. It has a holey carburetor with a K&N air filter to assure a good fuel/air mixture. The full power runs through a Ford Top loader 4-speed manual gearbox. To be able to outbrake the competition, you can rely on front vented disc brakes and rear drum brakes from Kesley Hayes. The braking system is equipped with a brake proportioning valve to adjust the brakes to any type of driving style. This Mustang looks the real deal on its American racing wheels that are rapped with Avon racing tires (sizes: 215/70-15 front and rear). Further race preparations include an ATL race fuel cell connected to twin holey fuel pumps, a fuel swirl bowl connected to a Facet pump, an alloy battery box, an alloy cooling radiator with an incorporated oil cooler, etc… The interior is a pure race car interior equipped with a welded roll cage built by VA Motorsport Engineering, a Sparco seat with Sparco safety harness, a Sparco steering wheel, and a procomp large rev counter with shift light. As for the rest of the interior, it is kept very sober. Attention to weight has also been considered, as all non-necessary parts have been taken out of the car and all side and rear windows have been replaced by polycarbonate examples. With the car comes the Roll cage license and the FIA historic technical passport (K) valid until December 21, 2025
