The Land Rover Defender traces its roots to the original Land Rover from 1948. However, the name Defender only appeared in 1990 from the need to distinguish this model from the new products of the Solihull brand.
In all, over 68 years, more than 2 million “Defender” were manufactured, taking on all kinds of shapes and functions and used by Kings, Queens, Farmers, Firefighters, Police and Soldiers.
This 1987 car was configured with the reliable 2500cc 4-cylinder Turbo-diesel with 203 Nm and mated to a manual 5 speed box. A power unit which is easy to maintain and with enough torque to overcome any obstacle.
This Defender 110 has 188,000 km on the odometer and has recently been given a “restomod” style rebuild. It is now dressed in Light Green, an original color from the Land Rover catalog which contrasts beautifully with the brown military-style canvas top. It also mounts new tyres, galvanized bumpers and trims and the classic silver grille.
On board the seats, console and dashboard were fully upholstered in leather, with the new carpet making the final finish.
