MG Midget 1965

To find this MG, we had to go to Sweden once again. It is a 1965 MG Midget Mark II, a car that has been in the same hands for the last 20 years, taking its owner on holiday trips to Scotland.
What sets it apart is its fantastic state of preservation. This is not a car after renovation, although it gives that impression. Even the paintwork here is partially original, factory coating. The interior is also fully original, showing only slight traces of use. The set also includes a tonneau to cover the cabin when parked and a folding roof - not visible in the photos, because in these years the entire structure is hidden in the boot.
The car underwent regular services in Sweden. It has quite extensive documentation. In 2014, the MG underwent a gearbox rebuild and received a new clutch.
After importing, we carried out service work, including changing the oil in the engine, gearbox and rear differential.
We carried out a full inspection of the carburetors. We replaced the faulty indicator lever, repaired the starter. We replaced the engine and gearbox mounts. We provided it with a set of five new tires (including a spare) and a new battery.
We registered the car in Poland, and with great pleasure we drove over 1000 km to make sure that everything is working properly.
The last problem that remains to be solved is the repair of the speedometer and tachometer. The counter counts kilometers correctly (both daily and general), but the speedometer needle dances while driving.
