Goodwood Revival is a three-day festival held each September at Goodwood Circuit since 1998. Only classic cars as well as motorcycles are allowed that would have competed during the circuit's original period from 1948–1966. In 1998 motor racing returned to Goodwood for the first time since the closure of the famous Motor Circuit in 1966. The event has since become one of the biggest historic motorsport events in the world and the only one to be staged entirely in period dress that recreates the 1950s and 1960s era of motorsport. The circuit is unchanged from its heyday, remaining in its 1952 configuration when the chicane was added. No modern vehicles are allowed within the circuit perimeter throughout the weekend, except for modern fire and rescue vehicles. There are also theatrical sets that bring the past back to life, as well as many historic aircraft. A spectacle that you must see at least once in your life!
