The 2025 edition will take place from Tuesday 17 to Saturday 21 June.
The format, for the third consecutive year, will be 5 days and will follow the legendary pre-war races, following a “figure eight” route like that of the first 12 editions of the 1000 Miglia di velocità.
On Tuesday 17 June, the over 400 cars admitted to the race will pass through Desenzano, Sirmione, Verona, Bovolone and Ferrara, to then conclude the day of racing in San Lazzaro di Savena, a municipality in the metropolitan city of Bologna. On the second day, the crews will tackle the Raticosa and Futa Passes. After passing through Prato and Siena, the cars will head towards Rome before heading back up north.
After the halfway point in the Capital, the Red Arrow will be in Orvieto, Foiano della Chiana, Arezzo and San Sepolcro; the return to San Marino will precede the arrival of the third stage in Cervia-Milano Marittima. On the fourth day, the most beautiful race in the world will cross the entire length of Italy from East to West: starting again from Cervia, the 1000 Miglia 2025 will touch Forlì before cutting through the Apennines to Empoli, where the uphill route will cross the one taken two days earlier on the descent towards Rome. Keeping the direction to the West, the Freccia Rossa will first reach Pontedera and then the Tyrrhenian coast with the passage from the Naval Academy of the Navy in Livorno; to then resume the climb through Viareggio and the Cisa Pass and close the penultimate stage in Parma before arriving in Brescia.
