Very rare Porsche Pre-A ‘Knickscheibe’, one of only 1,300 cabriolets made, beautifully restored and sporting the original colour combination that gives a real 1950s feel to it. This type of Porsche is highly sought-after, especially since it hasn’t yet got the small grilles for the horn up front, so its pure appearance makes it very attractive.
Dealer Hoffman in New York registered this Porsche in February 1954. In the 1980s the car was restored in Italy to a very high standard – the fitting of the panels show the craftsmanship used. The 1.5 litre engine is from the correct type and was built using the correct specifications. Interior and top were restored in 2018 using the original Reutter colour sheet. The car is EU-registered and comes with the Porsche birth certificate.
