Porsche 356 1600 Speedster 1955

Porsche had been producing the Type 356 since 1950. The Roadster body variant – called Speedster at Porsche – corresponded to the wishes of the US market. It was supposed to be light, nimble and reasonably priced. This is still the case today, except for the price, which has developed considerably. The Speedster, especially the early Pre A types, are highly sought after. According to the Porsche certificate, this rare Pre A Speedster was already delivered with the more powerful 1600 engine in the USA. Probably only very few cars of this intermediate series were built until the normal 356 A Speedster came on the market. The original engine is overhauled and available, it is included. At the moment a type 912 engine is installed with approx. 90 hp. This Porsche Speedster impresses with great driving characteristics, has been extensively restored and is in very good condition.
