Finally a beautiful VW T2 camper found its way to us again, a very classic-looking T2a Deluxe with harmonious 2-color paint and high-quality (modern) camping equipment. This Bulli was manufactured in Germany and first delivered to the USA.
Around 2007 it came to a VW enthusiast in Great Britain, who had it professionally equipped with a wonderfully designed camping facility. There is even a sink and a gas-powered auxiliary heater on board. In 2018, the Bulli finally found its way back to Germany and was extensively restored and finally professionally repainted by a proven connoisseur and lover of air-cooled VWs. All parts of the interior -- carpets, upholstery, furniture parts as well as door panels -- are well maintained and clean. The camping equipment in particular is very well made and appears to be in new condition. The technology has also been extensively revised and is in top condition.
The engine, gearbox and even the steering gear as well as the entire front axle have been professionally overhauled and work exactly as you would expect from a good T2. The engine was built according to series specifications, only the two 40 mm Weber carburettors ensure a slightly more powerful acceleration. Despite its nominally only 47 hp, the 1.6 liter boxer engine runs quite powerfully and drives the Bulli forward properly. Equipped with a CSP shifter, gear changes can be carried out much more precisely and with shorter shift travel compared to the series.
The body is adorned with perfect gaps and surface transitions as well as a very cleanly executed paint job. You will look in vain for any traces of corrosion, scratches or dents. The wheel arches and the entire underbody are rust-free, absolutely clean and painted in the vehicle color. This bus is particularly impressive thanks to its elaborately restored underside. If you are interested, please request detailed photos of the underbody and the wheel arches. The Bulli rolls on its original rim/tire combination. The tires were replaced and the rims were also sandblasted and repainted.
We hand over this extraordinary vehicle ready to go with a valid TÜV, an H certificate and a valuation report for your insurance company. If you wish, we can deliver the T2a directly to your home at cost.
