The Société des Automobiles Alpine SASU or more simply Alpine (or also Alpine-Renault) is a French car manufacturer, specialized in the construction of sports cars, founded in 1955 in Dieppe by Jean Rédélé and since 1973 part of the Renault group.
Car production ended in 1995, but 17 years after its closure, Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Renault, announced on November 5, 2012 the rebirth of the Alpine brand.
