Datsun was a Japanese car manufacturer, founded in 1931 and purchased by Nissan Motor in 1934. Nissan then decided to end the production of vehicles with this brand in 1986, only to then resume it and relaunch it on the market from 2013 to 2022.
The historic Datsun brand (written "DATSUN" on a blue background, in front of the red rising sun on a white field, the symbol of Japan) became the basis for the Nissan brand used from 1984 to 2002.
