Tatra

Tatra is an automotive company from the Czech Republic. The company was founded in Kopřivnice in 1850 by Ignác Šustala as a wagon and carriage factory.

In addition to being the most important world industry for the construction of trams, Tatra is also the third car manufacturer in chronological order to have produced cars, after Daimler Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot, having built its first car in 1897.

The company stopped producing cars in 1999, focusing mainly on building trucks.
