Willys was a brand name used by Willys Overland Motors, an American automobile manufacturer, founded by John North Willys. It was best known for the design and production of World War II military jeeps, the Willys M38 and M38A1 military jeeps and civilian versions (Jeep CJ), and for trademarking the military slang term "jeep" into the trademark "(Universal) Jeep".
